Bruce and Stephanie are a husband-and-wife industrial design team who run the Chicago-based studio Materious while also teaching at the University of Michigan. They take everyday domestic objects and create new, meaningful, and discursive relationships between the object and the consumer. They were given a grant through MIT to write a book about their design theory. Under the Art Direction of Matthew Terdich I assisted with the design, layout, and typesetting of this book. Discursive Design will be available for purchase in December of 2018.
